The use of finite elements
methods allows to model any type of building, to define
the preliminary sizing of all members and to assess the
load distribution in the building resulting from static
and seismic calculations.
Until now, the user had to rely on limited simplified
methods or exact but heavy mathematical methods. From
now on, you can use exact and accurate methods in a
powerful yet easy to use building software.
Links with Concrete
Solutions
CBS Pro has a dynamic link
with all the other products developed by RoboBAT as
ROBOT Millennium, and its reinforced concrete design
modules (beams, columns, footings…), ESOP for custom
calculation sheets, and our drawing tools under AutoCAD®
: RCAD Concrete drawings and RCAD Concrete
reinforcement.

Modeling
The preliminary member
sizing allows to get, after analysis, a very accurate
bill of quantities estimation (concrete volume, rebars
weight, formwork area...).
In addition to static analysis, it is possible to run
dynamic analysis according to various standards: PS92,
RPA99-2004, RPS2000...
Any section shape with any material (concrete, steel,
wood) can be used. Modeling of inclined roofs, slanted
slabs, stairs, doors and windows openings...
Several Calculation
Methods
CBS Pro includes 3 methods
:
Tributary area :this is similar to what the engineer
usually calculates by hand. It is suitable for buildings
with rectangular slabs.
Simplified Finite elements : This method is suitable for
buildings with arbitrary slabs shapes.
Full finite elements: this follows the exact behavior of
the building and allows for complex load distributions
between floors. This method is necessary for seismic
calculations.
Result
Post-Processing
Graphical results in maps
or diagrams are available.
The post-processing can be done on the whole structure
or on some structural building members only.
Results can be displayed in 2D floor plans or directly
onto the 3D building view. CBS Pro is a good preliminary
sizing software. It calculates the reinforced concrete
member sections required to carry all the loads.
It produces automatically the detailed design and
detailed shop-drawings for reinforced concrete members
(beams, colums, footings…)
Link With CAD
software
First real integrated
solution between Engineering and CAD software
CBS Pro allows the import of DXF and IFC formats.
IFC format is common in the building industry, civil
engineering
and architecture.
Software like Allplan®, ArchiCAD®, Architectural
Desktop®
from AutoDESK® read and write IFC formats.
