ESOP is an open calculation system,
consisting of many documents - applications describing the different
questions of civil engineering.
The applications in the form of advanced calculation sheets are used for
calculations verification, have the form of completed technical
documentation and its contents provides also manual information.
The most important features of the system :
Intuitive : The user is using the sheets which are ready documents. The
data are clearly specified and results with descriptions, formulas and
references are legible
Open : Each sheet can be extended with own calculations, basing on data
and results of a current matter
Flexible : Calculation sheets can be put together in larger documents
containing the complex engineering questions
Little requirements of the environment: ESOP system requires only the
presence of Microsoft Excel
The possibility of automatic extension of the system via Internet
(continuous development of the new options)
Questions hierarchy :
Calculation applications in the form of very advanced calculation sheets
concern many questions of civil engineering.
The particular sheets can be compounded together making very advanced
projects providing calculations of many different domains of civil
engineering.
All applications are set in a logical hierarchy according to engineering
questions, what makes possible easy location as well as easy integration
of the problems deriving from different areas of civil engineering.
Standards :
Apart from practical questions and schemes, ESOP has also the electronic
version of national standards at disposal, which are presented as the
set of calculation sheets. The sheets, as equivalents of particular
standard paragraphs, enable verification of the own data according to a
given point of a standard.
Calculation scheme :
Presenting the calculations together with the standard formulas and
references, detailed drawings
Advanced, dynamic graphics (charts, calculation models, ...)
The possibility of units adjustment
Precise description of the question together with the verification
example
The possibility of extending the calculations basing on results of the
particular question
ESOP system makes also possible creating the own advanced calculation
sheets, making available the assisting tools which are adjusted to the
specificity of civil engineering calculations :
Servicing the system data bases of the profiles, materials, bolts, ...
Servicing the types and units of physical quantities
Using the results of completed sheets
Preferences
ESOP system may be adjusted to the habits and needs of particular users
since there is a possibility of adjusting the units for the whole system
or for selected sheets as well as the possibility of selecting the data
bases of profiles, materials, bolts and others (bases are compatible
with Robot Millennium).
The presentation of the schemes hierarchy is dependent on the standards
selected by the user.
Graphics
The sheets have very advanced graphic interface, making possible the
presentation of calculation models, charts, maps, etc. corresponding
with the facts.
Interaction by the means of mouse (e.g. the readout of section forces,
bendings, ...) or selecting the way of graphic presentation are also
possible.
Cooperation with Robot Millennium
Many sheets of ESOP system may cooperate with Robot Millennium - the
application for structure analysis.
The cooperation may have different forms :
Calculation sheets make possible automatic capturing the data from Robot
Millennium system (e.g. data concerning geometry, materials, sections,
loads, internal forces, ...)
The sheets may function as the generators of completed models for Robot
Millennium (e.g. generator of frames with the elements of variable
section, combinations generator, generator of typical solutions of
static models, ...)
The sheets may extend the possibilities of results analysis of Robot
Millennium (e.g. new types of results setting-ups, additional results
for non-linear problems...)
The sheets may extend the calculation capacity of Robot Millennium (e.g.
openwork beams in a structure, steel column bases...)
