Frame Analysis
ROBOT Millennium provides easy to use facilities for the
fast and efficient generation and analysis of 2D and 3D
frame structures. It is possible to input sections from
steel databases from around the world or by input of
user defined sections. In addition, the software has
libraries of standard structures, such as portal frames
and trusses.
Section
Property Calculator
ROBOT Millennium section calculator allows the user to
input (either via CAD or through the ROBOT GUI) any
arbitrary cross sectional shape. Full section properties
are then calculated by ROBOT (bending and torsion
inertias, warping, shear centres etc). The section may
then be saved to a user defined section database for
subsequent use as a section in a frame structure
Preferences
and Job Preferences
In common with many other "native" Windows programs,
ROBOT allows the user to define the screen layout and
structural parameters using Preferences. Here, the user
may choose the units desired, set the particular Code of
Practice for design, set FE meshing values or input any
user defined material
ROBOT Millennium is also a true multinational product,
allowing the user to set a different output language to
the input language or to change units between the input
and output stages of a project.
Links with
Other Software
ROBOT Millennium has links to many other software
packages. It is possible to import and export to various
CAD packages (via dwg, dxf, StruCAD, ACIS, SSDNF file).
It is also possible to input files generated by other
structural analysis programs
We now also start to support true access between popular
sofware using IFC's (industry Foundation Classes).
Since ROBOT Millennium is a true "native" Windows
application, it is also possible to link to popular
general applications, such as Word, Excel,
Access..........
